Tips and Information
|
January 2008 As you can tell by the date of the last entry in the paragraph below you will notice I haven't had time to update my Tips and Information page. I started another home business. Marigold's Basic Webs. I am now building simple basic Level 1 web sites. I am still breeding my Ladies. I go into my Bird House several times a day to enjoy their chirping and funny little antics. I have only 1 nest box up at this time with 3 tiny eggs. Can't wait to see what they give me. I started a line of Blue's and Split to Blue Lady Gouldians. I now have 5 pairs. Texas is having the weirdest weather. One day hot and the next cold. So I am waiting until this Spring to put up any nest boxes. I also started a line of Black Cheek Zebras. Since I raised normal gray zebras off and on for the pass 27 yrs I thought the black cheeks would be like the normals' and let me do just about anything I wanted. No, not the black cheeks. The parents were doing great and gave me allots of fertile eggs but as an excited breeder I kept looking in the nest box. Then they would abandon the nest and the eggs would die. Hard lesson learned. I finally decided if I wanted chicks I better be patient. Then Lo and Behold they gave me 3 healthy black cheek babies. I think 1 is a male. He has the beginning of a black bar across his chest. September 2007 I have been so busy at work and my other Home Businesses I haven't updated in awhile. I took all of the nest boxes down. For some reason this Breeding Season the Ladies didn't give me many chicks. GOD Bless Marigold <>< |
