My name is Marigold and I am a Hobby Breeder of Lady Gouldians. I live in a small town call New Caney, we are 30 miles North of Houston, TX. I have been married to Jim for 33 years and we have a daughter Linda, our son-in-law Mike and our grandson Codey.

For 25 years off and on I bred and raised Normal Gray Zebra finches. The last couple of years I only kept a few pairs. One day in Jan. 2005 during my lunch break I was in an Exotic Pet Store. They had a cage full of Lady Gouldian Finches. This was the first time I ever seen any Lady Gouldians and I fell in love at first site. The following weekend I went to a Bird Fair in Pasadena, Texas.  I had errands to do that day so I wasn't able to buy any birds. But while talking to one of the Lady Gouldian bird vendors, I realized we only lived a couple of miles from each other. I asked if I may come by his home to see his Bird Aviary. The next day I drove over there and I couldn't leave without buying a pair of them and the rest is history..

All of my birds are raised and bred in an on site Bird House. Being that Texas can get up into the 100's during the summers and down into the teen's in the winter we installed an AC and several heaters in the Bird House.

This site will always be a work in progress. I will be adding and deleting pictures as my finch flock grows. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read how I got hooked on these beautiful finches.

The Summer of 2002 I decided to quit my job as a Medical Insurance Clerk and start a new hobby. One thing I really enjoy is Arts and Craft. So needless to say it has something to do with the Arts. I started sculpturing miniature fantasy figurines, birds and animals. During this time I also taught myself how to build simple basic websites, so I added that into my line of home businesses/hobbies. Please take a look at my other hobbies
